Intention Statement

A statement of intention outlining leadership philosophies focused on serving service members and their families through engagement, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Overview

This opportunity that I possess to serve our nation, its service members, and their families require a determination enamored by an act of persistent courage in pursuing change. Without it, we become stagnant and irrelevant.

I have dedicated my professional life to serving those that serve. With that, I utilize a selection of individual leadership philosophies to engage, create, and sustain innovative marketing campaigns while motivating teams of leaders towards personal and organizational achievements.

I have pursued this path by constantly and consistently seeking improvement through self-education, on-the-job training, and higher-level education.

I have adopted an intention stance that isn't self-focused. To know success, I know I must strive to help others achieve it. Pursuing a master's in public relations allows me this opportunity to continue leading teams and apply new skills in real-time.

Narrative 1: Excellence in leadership, team building, employee engagement, and managing diverse groups demonstrating the ability to motivate personnel towards organizational goal accomplishment.

  • Engage and inspire individuals to be bold, decisive, self-regulated innovators.
  • Lead through shared values and sound judgment while avoiding the minutia of oversight.
  • Make information open for interpretation and innovation. Don't restrict free-flowing ideas.

Narrative 2: Demonstrated strategic collaboration through adaptability, effective communication, fostering innovation, and long-term planning. Drive change by pushing adoption and adhering to core attributions that champion individual and team accomplishments.

  • Give everyone the freedom to act and celebrate the calculated risks that fall short.
  • Embrace failure as a success, so long as it was not born of ignorance, incompetence, or laziness.
  • Develop processes that are economical and void of bias or political response.

Narrative 3: Demonstrated problem-solving ability through evaluation, development of courses of action, and implementation of plans to execute a marketing or business program supporting the organization's mission.

  • Our community comes first. Every decision should calculate the benefits for those that we serve.
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on everything. No matter how successful you are, you can do better.
  • Foster an environment that promotes a strong sense of belonging and organizes around accountable teams. Avoid hierarchical and bureaucratic control. Every voice is impactful.

Conclusion: What an honor it is to continue to serve.
